The MINFLUX (minimal photon fluxes) method combines single-molecule detection strategies used in STORM (Stochastical Optical Reconstruction Microscopy), with precise and rapid illumination strategies used in STED (Stimulated Emission Depletion) microscopy, which yields nanometer resolution in 3D. BMC deformable mirrors are used to enable 3D-MINFLUX localization.

Laser Communications Relay Demonstration (LCRD)
LCRD is a NASA mission that aims to showcase the capabilities of optical communication in space. Launched on December 7, 2021, the LCRD payload is currently in its early stages as NASA engineers are practicing sending test data to and from its ground stations. This technology demonstration utilizes continuous deformable mirrors and will pave the way for future optical communications space missions.
