The MINFLUX (minimal photon fluxes) method combines single-molecule detection strategies used in STORM (Stochastical Optical Reconstruction Microscopy), with precise and rapid illumination strategies used in STED (Stimulated Emission Depletion) microscopy, which yields nanometer resolution in 3D. BMC deformable mirrors are used to enable 3D-MINFLUX localization.

LCRD is a NASA mission that aims to showcase the capabilities of optical communication in space. Launched on December 7, 2021, the LCRD payload is currently in its early stages as NASA engineers are practicing sending test data to and from its ground stations. This technology demonstration utilizes continuous deformable mirrors and will pave the way for future optical communications space missions.

Easy integration with compact form factor and a simple interface
BMC's compact form factor makes it simple and easy to integrate devices into your beam path. Deformable mirrors are used as enabling components to create sharper images using a multi-photon microscope or maximize the data transmission rate for laser communication systems. The interface is so simple that companies take advantage of either our software and electronics or design their own for complete OEM system integration.
