Deformable Mirror The Multi-DM (deformable mirror), by Boston Micromachines Corporation, is used for wavefront imaging and correction and retinal imaging. The mirror utilizes 140 independently controlled actuators and features a 6mm aperture and 3kHz frequency capability. Combined with 6µ of stroke, the mirror provides up to 12µ of wavefront correction, the company says.
